Doyon Foundation is currently seeking candidates for two open seats on its board of directors. The open positions have three-year terms expiring in 2016.

The application deadline is Monday, October 21, 2013 at 5 p.m. The election will take place at the Foundation’s 2013 annual membership meeting in November.

Candidates seeking election to the Doyon Foundation board must be:

  • A Doyon shareholder
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Knowledgeable about private foundation management and higher education
  • Familiar with the Foundation’s strategic plan, long-term vision and goals, and mission and purpose
  • Committed to spending up to 200 volunteer hours a year carrying out the duties of a board member

This year, Doyon Foundation is specifically interested in candidates who have experience pursuing and obtaining funds and resources from foundations, corporations, individuals and government sources through activities such as proposal development, annual strategic campaigns and events planning.
