Washington Internships for Native Students (WINS) Program at America University – Spring 2014 applications are now being accepted!

Washington Internships for Native Students (WINS) is a program developed by American University in 1994. The purpose of WINS is to help Native students develop professional knowledge, earn academic credit, and learn leadership skills, while emphasizing communal backgrounds of American Indians/Alaska Natives/Native Hawaiians (AI/AN/NH).

The WINS program offers AI/AN/NH students the opportunity to build leadership and advocacy skills while living, studying, and interning in Washington, DC. This program is open to college sophomores, juniors, seniors, or graduate students interested in American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian issues.
