Are you a Doyon shareholder who is interested in teaching or learning about your Native language?

Doyon Foundation’s Language Revitalization Program will be hosting a Where Are Your Keys (WAYK) language training facilitated by Evan Gardner. The training will focus on the process of creating a community of language teaching and learning experts. WAYK is a collection of techniques used for rapidly reaching proficiency in a target language. WAYK is a system for using any technique or method that works. The technique collection is constantly growing—every time the community discovers a new trick, which allows players to teach and learn faster, it is “contracted” or adopted through the learning community to allow other players to accelerate their learning even more.

The training will be held at the Alpine Lodge in Fairbanks, Alaska from November 5 – 8, 2013. Travel assistance is available to those who are located outside the Fairbanks area. Travel assistance will be awarded to those who apply and are selected after completing the assistance application and registration process. If interested, you can register online to attend this training and/or apply for travel assistance with this application.

Envisioning our people actively learning, using and teaching the language is the enduring intent of Doyon’s initiative to revitalize our languages.
