For the past 31 years the Rural Alaska Honors Institute (RAHI) has been offering an academic six week pre-college program at UAF. RAHI is committed to helping Alaska Native and rural students succeed. They have over 1,500 alumni including doctors, lawyers, scientists, teachers, engineers and many other professionals.

Students live in the dorms at UAF and take college courses including English, writing, business, chemistry, math, process technology and archaeology. Weekends include volunteering in the community and recreational activities.

Students must be college bound and currently in their junior or senior year with a minimum 3.0 GPA. There is no cost to students and all expenses are covered including transportation from their home and back.

Program dates are May 27 – July 11. The application deadline is March 1.
