GVEA (Golden Valley Electric Association) is offering the following scholarships to students:

$15,000 Academic Degree Scholarship – One to be Awarded Applicant must be a graduating high school senior.  In addition, he or she must be pursuing a four-year Bachelor Degree at the University of Alaska and have a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.5.

$2,500 Academic Scholarships – Three to be Awarded Applicant must be a graduating high school senior.  In addition, he or she must be pursuing a four-year Bachelor Degree at an accredited university and have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0.

$2,000 Continuing Education Scholarships – Three to be Awarded Current year graduating high school seniors are not eligible for this scholarship.  Applicant must be enrolled or accepted as a part-time (at least 6 credit-hours per semester or 4 credit-hours per quarter) or a full-time student at an accredited school in a program leading toward a Bachelor or Master’s Degree.  Applicant must have completed 12 or more credits with a minimum GPA of 2.5.

To be eligible for any of these scholarships, the applicant or a member of the applicant’s immediate family must be a Golden Valley Electric member.
