Native Language Camps at Howard Luke Gaaleeya Camp, Fairbanks

June 15-19, 2015 Denaakk’e

June 22-26, 2015 Benhti Kenaga’

Everyone of all ages is welcome!

There are no travel monies available, but if students have a way to get to Fairbanks, then they are welcome to apply. Participants are expected to spend the entire time at the camp.

Two language specialists and one night-time chaperone will be present for each camp. This a grant funded activity so travel funds are limited. Students (adults and children) will learn how to prepare, cook, and work in the kitchen, all in Denaakk’e. These will be intensive one hour classes. Students will rotate through the classes.

Volunteers are being sought to teach the relaxation classes (art – visual, music, drama, physical education, nature walks, fishing, boat safety etc.)
