Youth in grades 9th through 12th are invited to apply for the 2016 Color of Justice Rural Alaska Initiative Program to be held in Anchorage, February 25th – 26th, 2016. Thanks to donations from Alaska Native Regional Corporations around the state in collaboration with the Alaska Native Justice Center, 40 motivated rural Alaska students will be selected and sponsored to be flown for to Anchorage to participate in this educational and fun two-day program.

The Color of Justice Program is a law-related education program featuring workshops, mentoring events and hands-on learning activities designed to promote awareness about potential careers in law and the judiciary among Alaskan youth from groups traditionally underrepresented on the bench, including racial and ethnic minorities and women.

Please note, to be eligible for consideration and to submit the application, the student’s parent or legal guardian must review and sign in writing the 2016 Color of Justice Terms, Conditions and Release of Liability Agreement on page 2 of the online application.
